Highest number of road deaths in U.S. on 4th July

More people are killed in road accidents in the United States on July 4th, Independence Day, than any other day of the year, researchers said on Thursday. On average about 117 people died every day on U.S. roads between 1986-2002, although the numbers varied from a low of 45 to a high of 252.
