New test for assessing the aggressiveness of prostate cancer

A new prostate cancer test could avoid unnecessary surgery reported three newspapers on 10 August 2005. The newspaper articles are based on a small laboratory investigation using old tissue samples. The technique has not been tested in men with suspected prostate cancer and is unlikely to be available in the near future.
